The four dasbhoards present results of a least-cost electricity access expansion analysis carried out with the OnSSET model (see the Modelling platform page for details). The assumed demand is that derived from the Electricity demand dashboard. Each piece of information is provided at each year, for each technology, and in each scenario. Refer to the Scenarios page for a detailed characterisation of each scenario's assumptions and objectives.
For each administrative unit: the top left panel illustrates the estimated technology split for new connections, representing the share of households gaining electricity access with a given technology. The top right panel presents the corresponding power generation capacity addition requirements. The bottom left panel provides an estimate of the total investment requirements to install the generation, transmission and distribution infrastructure required. Finally, the bottom right panel visualizes the average levelised cost of electricity per new connection.
