Note that the demand estimate for 2020 is consistent with currently supplied demand (according to IEA statistics), while following years include scenario-dependent assumptions on demand growth and achievement of a given development path in different sectors. Refer to the Scenarios page for a detailed characterisation of each scenario's assumptions and demand growth determinants.
